Sphere IPTV for NFL, NBA, NHL & UFC PPV: The Fan's Guide
From NFL Sundays to UFC pay-per-view, Sphere IPTV puts every American sport and fight night in one place. Here's how to get the most out of it.
US sports on Sphere IPTV
Sphere IPTV includes national networks, sports networks and regional channels, so you can follow:
- NFL — Sunday afternoon games, Sunday, Monday and Thursday night football, playoffs and the big game.
- NBA — national broadcasts and many local games.
- NHL — US and Canadian broadcasts, including hockey night coverage.
- MLB — national and regional games through the season and October.
- College sports — football and basketball.
Browse them in the Sphere IPTV sports channels category.
PPV and fight nights at no extra cost
A single UFC or boxing PPV can cost $70+. With Sphere IPTV, event channels for UFC, boxing, wrestling and other big events are included in every plan. They appear in the PPV & events category a few hours before the start.
Tips for fight night
- Open the event channel 15 minutes early.
- Use a wired connection for the main event.
- Keep the FHD feed as a backup if 4K stutters at peak time.
- Restart the app before the main card to clear memory.
NFL Sundays: watching several games
NFL Sundays are where Sphere IPTV shines: several games start at the same time, and you can jump between them or use TiviMate multi-view. Add every game channel to a “Sunday” favourites group so you can switch with one button. Remember: each Sphere IPTV plan includes one connection, so multi-view on one device works best — read the multi-screen guide.
Picture quality for fast sports
Fast action like hockey and basketball looks best at 50/60 frames per second. On Apple TV enable “Match Frame Rate”; on Android TV and Firestick, enable auto frame rate in your player. For 4K, aim for 25 Mbps or more.
Which plan for a full season?
An NFL season runs September to February, and NBA/NHL run October to June. The Sphere IPTV 12-month plan ($64.99) covers everything at $5.42 a month. See the Sphere IPTV pricing page.
